These terms govern use of the Nexum Ledger website and any demonstration or evaluation access provided to you by Nexum Ledger Ltd (“ Nexum”). Production service is provided under a separate written agreement.
1. We are not a law firm
Nexum Ledger Ltd is a technology vendor. We are not a law firm, not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or any other legal services regulator, and do not provide legal services within the meaning of the Legal Services Act 2007. Nothing on this site, in our product, or in our communications constitutes legal, regulatory, tax, or financial advice. You should seek independent professional advice before acting on any information provided.
2. Demonstration content
The content displayed on this website and on any demonstration dashboard is for illustrative purposes. It does not reflect real client data, real matter files, or live trust account balances. Hash values, filenames, and identifiers shown are synthetic and generated for demonstration only.
3. Compliance remains the firm’s responsibility
Nexum provides technical infrastructure intended to support compliance workflows. Determining whether any specific application of the product meets the requirements of the SRA Standards and Regulations, the UK GDPR, or any other applicable regulatory framework is the sole responsibility of the regulated firm and its Compliance Officer for Legal Practice. Nexum makes no representation that use of the product by itself achieves or guarantees regulatory compliance.
4. Forward-looking statements
References to product features that are described as planned, in development, or coming soon (including integrations with third-party systems) are forward-looking statements and are subject to change without notice. No commitment is made as to delivery timeline or final specification.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site or any evaluation access in a manner that would: (a) breach applicable law; (b) infringe the rights of any third party; (c) attempt to circumvent security controls; or (d) use automated tools to extract material at a scale or rate that places an undue load on our infrastructure.
6. Intellectual property
All content, trademarks, and software made available on this site are the property of Nexum or its licensors. Evaluation access does not transfer any intellectual property rights. Third-party product names referenced on this site, including Clio Manage, LEAP, and Osprey Approach, are trademarks of their respective owners. Nexum Ledger Ltd is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these third parties.
7. No warranty
The demonstration site is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Availability may be interrupted at any time without notice.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nexum is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or any demonstration access, including indirect, consequential, or special damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.
